80KM DCF Passive Dispersion Compensation Fiber Pluggable Module (DCM) - F-tone

80KM DCF Passive Dispersion Compensation Fiber Pluggable Module (DCM) - F-tone

Transceivers Type

SFP Optical Transceiver

Specifications

80km Dispersion Compensation Fiber Pluggable Module

Dispersion occurs when an optical signal travels long distances in an optical fiber, resulting in signal distortion. Dispersion Compensation Fiber (DCF) is a special fiber with a negative chromatic dispersion, which is just the opposite of G.652 fiber and can counteract the effects of chromatic dispersion in G.652. This passive module provides a high level of compensation while maintaining low PMD dispersion as well as low insertion loss and low noise. Passive DCF is a simple, reliable and cost-effective way of compensating for dispersion, allowing signals to travel over 120km without regeneration.
