The QSFPP-40G-ER4 transceiver module is designed for optical communication over distances of up to 40 kilometers, in compliance with the IEEE P802.3ba 40GBASE-ER4 standard. This module efficiently converts four 10Gb/s electrical data input channels into individual CWDM optical signals, which are then multiplexed into a single 40Gb/s optical transmission channel. Similarly, on the receiving end, it demultiplexes a 40Gb/s input signal into four CWDM channels, converting them into a four-channel electrical data output. This bidirectional capability ensures reliable communication over extended distances.
