NVIDIA/Mellanox compatible 1.6T OSFP FR8 Twin-port 2x 800G FR4 transceiver module supports a max data rate of 1600 Gbps. It enables the fiber link of 2km over single-mode fiber (SMF) with dual duplex LC/UPC connectors. F-tone manufactured 1.6T 2x FR4 OSFP complies with IEEE802.3dj D1p3: 2x800GBASE-FR4 optical interface, IEEE802.3dj D1p3: 2x800GAUI-4 C2M electrical interface, OSFP MSA Specification Rev 5.1 RHS type 2, CMIS Rev 5.3 and EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS compliant). The 1.6T signal is carried over 4 wavelengths at 1271nm, 1291nm, 1311nm, and 1331nm. 

 

DDM (digital diagnostics monitoring) function is supported on the 1.6T fiber optic transceiver to achieve real-time operating parameters monitoring. Adopting the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) modulation, the FR8 OSFP achieves 1600 Gigabit Ethernet through 8 channels 200G PAM4. 

 

The 1.6T FR8 OSFP supports both Ethernet and InfiniBand XDR end-to-end system applications. Designed for supercomputing and HPC, this 1.6T OSFP transceiver provides high-speed connectivity for compute and storage infrastructure. OSFP-RHS with flat-top design is used in Quantum-3 liquid-cooled switches.
