NVIDIA/Mellanox MMS4A00 (980-9IAH1-00XM00) compatible 1.6T OSFP DR8 (2x DR4) is an Infiniband twin-port SiPh-based transceiver module with dual MPO-12 APC connectors at 800Gb/s each. It enables the fiber link of 500m at 2x800Gb/s over single-mode fiber (SMF). With the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) modulation, the Datacenter Reach 4-channel (DR4) OSFP adopts 8-channels of 200G-PAM4 electrical modulation and two ports of 4-channel 200G-PAM4 optical Parallel modulation.

 

The 1.6T 2DR4 OSFP supports InfiniBand XDR end-to-end systems. Designed for supercomputing and HPC, the main application of this 1.6T OSFP transceiver is to link two 1.6T (2x800G) switches (i.e. Quantum-X800 Q3200-RA, Q3400-RA) together up to 500 meters or breakout to two 800G switches or two 800G network adpter cards  (i.e. ConnectX-8/OSFP) for storage or compute servers (i.e. DGX B300, B300 GPU). Its OSFP-IHS/Closed Finned Top structure is designed for Quantum-3 Quantum-X800 air-cooled switches.
